Yesterday we set sail from Hong Kong to Macau, an independent country of China approximately one hour away by ferry. Colonised by the Portuguese this little gem of a country is quite unique. With it’s intricate mosaic footpaths, beautiful architecture and sunny weather it almost felt as though we had stepped foot directly into Portugal. But then we hopped five seconds around the corner and found ourselves in China again with it’s cheap local restaurants, little shops selling squares of dried meat and traditional Chinese music playing live in the park behind us. I was fascinated by such contrast so I captured it for all of you to see. If you are planning a trip to Hong Kong or China don’t miss Macau. It’s a must.
