Pink See-Through Fantasia

This is a sea cucumber that is see-through. The pink see-through fantasia lives in the Celebes Sea, and you can find it around 2500 meters deep in the sea.

What makes this creature stand out is that the mouth, intestines, and the anus are quite visible, unlike other creatures. The other thing is that the creature lives in the remote areas of the sea, which protects it from predators.

Christmas Tree Worm

The next creature is the Christmas tree worm, which pretty much looks like a Christmas tree. The creature can also be referred to as Spirobranchus giganteus.

Other than the plastic Christmas tree look that this worm has, other parts that make it stand out is how they protect themselves. 

Whenever there’s movement in the water, this creature tends to seal itself using operculum. An operculum is like a different body that has door-like features.

If you have ever heard of the mythological sea Siren then you have a rough idea of what a sea angel might look like. But, the creature isn’t an “angel” and don’t be mistaken about it, as its actual name is the predatory sea snail.

Among other snails in the sea, this is by far one of the most feared creatures there are down there. Its main food is the other snails in the marine, for example, the shell snails are most hunted. For the sea angel, the main territory that it flies is through the Antarctic waters.

What makes this creature appear on the list is its silvery exterior. And, with wing-like fins, you can see the angel resemblance getting stronger.

Have you ever encountered a batfish? Well, if you haven’t then the red-lipped batfish may be the weirdest creature you have ever seen. The first part that will get you is that the fish appears to have legs. And, as the name suggests, the lips on the batfish are reddish.

Another thing that stands out from this fish is the fins, which are formed like limbs. The fish is found in the Galapagos Island, and you also find them off Peru.
